Agreed. This would be the best way to start. But 200 should go pretty far buying a nice cue to start with

Never used the Mess break stick But the Predator BK2 does very well pretty consistently

If it were me buying a good cue to start out, but not wanting to spend a bunch of cash, From my experiences I would say try to find what alot of guys are saying maybe a mcdermott or viking would be a good starting point. I prefer meucci myself But any of those 3 can be purchased used off ebay...

If I were able to spend that kind of cash on a pool cue, Would probably do alot of searching around and try to find a Meucci Original Chess Cue or the "crown Jewel"
