    felt coming loose

What do you do about all the build up on top of the slate after years of glue....I just had to spend a week scraping old glue off bar boxes because of this method. Use the right glue for the job and you wont have this problem, and the next mechanic that comes behind you wont be cussing you out...

Question on filling the slate gap and screw holes.

Just fix it right in the first place...take the slate off...scrape all the crap out in between the slate...Set the slate tightly together and re-attach. You should have to use very little if anything on the seams if time is taken and the slates are leveled up and set coplanar.

Once again, buyers beware...this sale was a ripoff attempt!!

Glen asked me to post some pics here for reference. These pics are not from the table being discussed, they are just pics to illustrate the difference between tables in how the skirts are attached. more to come...

New Diamond cushions on a GC.

Yeah, kind of a leading question. I am well aware of the profile. People should really check their information before posting about what the have no idea about. Especially if they have been in the business for 50 years.

    Vacuuming vs. Brushing vs. Cleaning

If vacuuming a table is causing your cloth to stretch, you are doing something wrong. I would like to see the vacuum that can rip pool table cloth as well.

    Gold Crown Questions

Do yourself a favor and just go buy new hardware for everything before you get it put together. Also run a tap through the rail inserts to clean out any junk that is in them. After that take some high pressure air and blow out the cavity. You can then shoot some wd-40 or lube of choice in there...

    best way to rotate table

If you just have a bottle jack, just put cribbing under it, 4x4s or 2x2s work fine. Do one side under the side pocket jacking it up under the lowest part of the frame, only raise it just enough to put the dollies under it. Then move to the other side and do the same. If you have a automotive...

    best way to rotate table

http://www.harborfreight.com/movers-dolly-93888.html Watch for sales. I pick up a few when they go down to $6.99. I probably have a dozen or more laying around. Pretty useful for all sorts of stuff.

Best way to move alot of valleys at one time?

It depends on the loading equipment you have and the type of transportation you have as well. Forklift available? Lift gate on truck? Dollys? How many people?

    Diamond and 3M-77

Glue and stretch index. After you do them for a while, they go much faster. Where is your pool hall located?

    Diamond and 3M-77

Its not so much of a Diamond/Spray 77 thing, it is more of a Simonis/Spray 77 thing. Spray 77 just is not strong enough to get the pull need to make Simonis play the best. I don't know about other mechanics, but I do not feel comfortable stretching Simonis 2 1/2 inches side to side with Spray...

Diamond Levelling System Gee Whiz Question.

I believe the original idea is to be able to raise the entire seam, then fine adjust either side with the wedges on either side, but I always leave the center wedge alone and just adjust the outer wedges.

Question about leveling a Diamond pool table

The leg levelers are opposite of what you are thinking. The bottom nut is a lock nut onto the bottom leg block, which it wood by the way. The top nut is the adjustable one. Take a 3/4" wrench and turn that clockwise to raise the corner. As far as the wedge leveling system under the slate...

    To the glue users.

Absolutely. I get it in a 5 gallon bucket, and it is right at $300 now. Last year I think it was about $80 cheaper.
