got myself a 93" valley table that needs work

Put a straight edge across the slate. If you have some light smiling through under it in the middle you have a sagging slate. You can also do this with levels. If you go all around the table, and it is reading low to the middle and high outside, once again you have a sag in the slate. For what...

    Gold Crown III Counter

There are 2 barbs on each side of the counter that dig into the wood in the rail. Those need to be depressed to get the counter to slide out. I usually use a thin flat blade screw driver and kinda work around in a circle. Push one barb in and gently pull out, then the next and so on. You will...

Rails/banks playing very short on GC3

I do not appreciate being attacked on here for doing nothing to you. I have not bad mouthed your work like you are mine, and in fact, never mentioned you or your work. I simply gave my opinion of what the problem could be same as you did. It is just a guess just like you are guessing because no...

Rails/banks playing very short on GC3

You might be a little worse off than that. If the angle cut on the subrail is too shallow, you get the springy play and banking no matter the height of the point of the cushion. That is similar to the problem the older Diamond tables had. I suspect this is what is going on with your table...

Rails/banks playing very short on GC3

Just doing the conversion , it looks like you are 1mm low. It should be about 1 7/16" at the point where the ball hits the cushion. That is 36.5mm.

    Need my rails redone ONTARIO

I still fail to see how the table above is considered patch work, I added no new wood what-so-ever on this table as there was enough material to work with. And before you keep assuming that all of "us" that Glen was nice enough to show different ways of doing things, do the rails the same way, I...

    Simonis 860 question..

It is not normal, and is probably exactly what you said, a string caught under the bed cloth. The only way to get it out would be to get the rails off and take a look. You might luck out and be able to grab the end of the string and pull it out, otherwise, you will have to pull the cloth and...

    Need my rails redone ONTARIO

I just finished up a set of Dufferin rails from a fellow in Edmonton, AB. He shipped them FedEx and they arrived with no issues. Here are a few pictures. https://plus.google.com/photos/107120106453122431486/albums/5852388979605051393

    Cloth ripping issue...

I have had the same issue with these Olhausens. It is not the installers fault or Simonis' fault. If you want to blame someone give Olhausen a call. The problem can be somewhat helped by smoothing the edge of the slate with a file or some sandpaper. Then double up the slate liners and hope for...

brunswick gold crown Metal strap for fiberglass trim skirts

Make some. It is just a piece of metal. If you have a small grinder, drill, pair of pliers, and a vise you could make them pretty easy. For what it is worth, I never had any for the tables I have done with the plastic skirts, and they seem fine with out them. The other trick I like to do is...

Advice needed for transport & moving 9' Diamond Smart Table

You won't damage the leveling system transporting it that way. It is the moving the table after you get it off the flat bed that will the the scarey part. Is there an entrance where the table can stay flat and enter the building, or does it have to go through a door on its side?
