    Gus Szamboti 70's

agree, but that doesn't align with todays prices of a similar cue. @2000$. And to be clear, I feel 2000 is very cheap for such a cue. I am just curious what was different in the 70s that justified such a low price of $135/$600 for a cue? In summary, why were these cues so cheap back then...

    Gus Szamboti 70's

Hi Hank, both of your example are 5x. That is similar to the math of $135 vs $600. It would be tough to make money today at 600$ for a cue as described. How were cuemakers in the 70s able to make money at the 135$ price? Again, I am sure I am missing an element beyond this calculation...

    Gus Szamboti 70's

Hi Will, thanks for sharing the info about cue and case prices from the 70s. It seems that cue prices overall have outpaced inflation. If a 4 pointer with veneers was @135$ in the mid 1970s, accounting for rough inflation, that price would only be around 600 today. Richards site shows similar...

    Full Splice Blank collection

Its great to see the number of cuemakers doing FS w veneers. They have always been my favorite. I got my first blank from prather in 2005/2006 shortly after they started building them w veneers. At that time I was not aware of anyone else building them w sharp return points. Today there are...

    Full Splice Blank collection

no idea how he gets them so sharp. Here is a close up of his compared to a prather and titlist. Quite a difference. The second picture is the top points of the rounceville and a titlist. The blanks are oversized and the points will be sharp once turned to size.

Hi Ken, I feel the cue turned out quite nice as well. Here are a couple pictures of the rings and the titlist blank I sent Pete. I purchased the rings and blanks from AZ members. This is my 6th cue from the Tascarella's, each one a great experience.
