The Nurse Shot......... You Are Welcome

Every word, Neil, says is true, folks. My table is a GC4 with standard pockets, which are slightly larger than Diamond pockets. The shot can be made on Diamond or any tight pocketed table also. Someone who really does know how to exicute this shot will notice I hit it badly. The slide I put on...

The Nurse Shot......... You Are Welcome

You are thinking in reverse, poolhustler. The first thought you should have after recognizing the shot is available is to see what english the object ball must have when it double kisses the rail. Here when it hits the rail the second time it must be spinning with LEFT english to throw it toward...

The Nurse Shot......... You Are Welcome

Yes, with inside english which throws the object ball toward the pocket when it double kisses. Ironman is right. Back in the old days with the big heavy cue ball it was hard to miss the shot, if you put the correct english on the cue ball.

The Nurse Shot......... You Are Welcome

I believe this shot should no longer be a secret to only a few players. This Nurse shot can win games, sets or even matches, if you can recognize it and exicute it at the right time. This is a one pocket situation where I only need one ball. Many of the other balls are close to my oponent's...

Totally true, dabarbr. With the old United cue ball you could nurse an object ball half way down the rail with virtually no rebound of the cue ball. It was a much easier shot with the heavy ball. With today's cue balls you must get much more spin and slide.

Nurse Shot??? If you have any doubts as to how much your instructor knows,,,,, ask him to show you how to exicute a Nurse shot. If he doesn't know what it is or doesn't shoot it like this,,,,,,,,,,,,, go elsewhere........ http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=308552133128617502&hl=en

Not a chance in the world, BFD. I have made onepocket.org my home page since Artie started posting there. Check his spelling/grammar out and you will see what I mean. People love it because of his and many others knowledge of all games. He and Freddie used to be best buds. Times do change.

    What ever happened to...

You are right, Ironman. Jimmy, wasn't a top player but he was able to hit that GEAR at times when he made the top players believe they had a bad game. I vividly remember him drilling Louie Roberts playing even 9 ball in Tupelo, MS. He won many thousands and Louie's car.
