I just cant get used to the shorter ferrules. Its psychological I guess.
Good luck.
Mike
Spot on Mike. First time I tried a 1/2" ferrule one shot was enough. By chance I was forced to use another cue with a 3/4" ferrule. After the race I realised it wasnt so bad. Now I can play 1/2"...
I did that once. Cue hit better imo, but developed a buzz soon after.
who does the work is important from my encounter. seriously place quality above price, as long as you can afford it. Hope this helps a little.
Definetly different than Pred. shafts, and better for me. Not all will agree, but thats just my opinion.
Good luck
Jason
Thanks Jason, send some rep your way. Which means BUMP for spanky too:smile: Have you found yours spanky?
spanky, how do these shafts play?
I'm deciding to get 1. But I've never like Predator shafts, hope ishafts work and give a better feel than predator shafts.
I think solid maple should be fine, if the sit time is enough. and that the finish is important in keeping 'poison' out after the cue is joined.
Good luck my man!
Its a chemical equation:grin-square:
Spalted maple looks GRRRREATTT
Can they spalt other woods? wonder whats ebony or purpleheart gona look like spalted.
I'm with cueman here. Grains line up, rings just a tad off. Of course, depends on how many 0.000 you are looking at.
I had a sneaky once, jointless. Put the shaft on and you see the wood grains line up. Great hit.
Right on, saw those too. Some of that spalted maple looked great. Its got to be impregnated stuff I think.
Can we actually make one that's not impregnated like that? Cue's gona crack?
