    What Brunswick model here.

Looks like it's missing the foot apron (3 pieces, which includes the ball storage tray), and at least one corner shield. The foot apron could be easily replaced with a single piece of poplar. The corner shields are typically sheet steel. Easy enough to fabricate, if you have a metal fab shop...

    What Brunswick model here.

I don't know the actual model of this table. However, it appears to be one of their ultra-cheap particle board rail tables. $700 is quite steep, IMO.

    Spartan Victory Carbon Fiber Shaft

I haven't removed it yet. Though, I have seen no issues with it so far.

    Spartan Victory Carbon Fiber Shaft

I have one with a 12.2 mm Kamui black soft tip.. I have tried a Predator Revo and a Jacoby as well, and really liked both. However, I'm not sure yet on the Spartan. The biggest difference for me is that the 12.2 mm tip is smaller than the 12.75 (ish) that I'm used to.. Unfortunately, 12.2 mm was...

    Gold crown 1 finished once

Wipe everything down first with some heavy duty cleaner. It looks like it has a heavy coating of nicotine. You can get away with a light sanding, just to knock the sheen off. Then, apply fresh paint. If you sand to bare wood, you will need to prime it before painting. Also be careful of the...

Best strategy for installing new pockets, using only one person

Remove the fasteners holding the leather pocket tabs (hopefully screws, but unfortunately, many use staples) Remove all rail bolts On one side, pull the side rails outward, so that you can access the pocket bolts from underneath Remove one pocket bolt Repeat process on other side Stand at the...

Feather strip ... transition from heavy cloth to speed cloth

Use masking tape along the sides of the featherstrips. I cut the excess, rather than wrap it around the bottom side, as it could make the featherstrips too tall. If you are still worried about the cloth coming loose, you can swipe a glue stick down each side of the featherstrip, just prior to...

Gold Crown I new cushion questions

Using a table saw may work... But, it's not the best way to achieve a consistent quality product. Proper modification requires the use of custom purpose-built tooling.

Restored Anniversary table with Diamonized rails and pockets with matching vintage revolving 12 cue rack

This is a steal of a deal. Brian did a great job on the metal polishing and wood refinishing.

Doing good. Busy as ever.. Wish that it would slow down a bit, so that I can actually enjoy the windfall. I hope that you are well, also.

    While it’s unwrapped

The cushions on your Gold Crown were Monarch Superspeed rubber. They are a MUCH higher quality rubber than anything that Golden West would have used.

    Changes to the Mechanics Directory

I cringe whenever I see the word "Mechanic", in reference to a pool table.. Pool tables are not machinery. As per the definition, one may be skilled in the use of tools and machines, though not have a clue on how to correct a poorly playing pool table. I much prefer the title, "Technician".

    Table Felt Issue

I'm going to guess that your table has the original cushions? And that the greenish color is only over the surface of the rubber? It's a common occurrence with the old Monarch Superspeed rubber.

    While it’s unwrapped

I don't know what Goldenwest was using for cushions back then, but I would bet that you could be close to the life expectancy. On the other hand, how long do you figure before the next recover? If it will be within the next couple of years, you could probably wait it out. It can't hurt to...

Be careful with that attitude... That's how I started in this business. Ha!

    Home Room Build Thread

I love it! If you don't mind, who made your building kit, and who did you buy it from? I just put up a 30'x40' kit, made by Olympia Steel Buildings, purchased from Steel Commander Corp.

    Finishing up Billiards room

I can't imagine the hassle that it must have been, to get that table loaded in the truck, in that manner. Room looks great, btw.

Olhausen rattle, is this a good fix?

I believe so. Just understand that the thickness of each facing will be tapered, and will vary from pocket to pocket. I wouldn't sand it any thinner than 1/8", at the thinnest point.
