Owner says it's about 15 years old, they said it was barely played on. I can get it for probably 700

Probably worth that, although you can find GC III in decent shape for not much more than that. Thing looks almost new, probably held laundry as much as being played on. There may be a model written on the bottom rails or slate.

What do you call decent? Last GC i saw in that $-range needed a TON of work. A ready to play GC is gonna run you $1,500+. Still a helluva deal when you go price new commercial grade tables. I'd save a little longer and skip on the home table.

A place near me was selling GC IIIs for 750, including usable cloth on a good number of them.

Outside of maybe new cloth needed I have seen tables here and there for around a 1,000 or less.

where is this? they must not list them anywhere.

If that table uses a lot of particle board it could be a problem when its time to reassemble. Screws pull material out of the holes and the holes often get oversized and the screws no longer tighten. Just sayin is all.

This should be a solid table, Right? They believe it was from 1980, 8' pro is what there calling it

Agree, looks like a SportKing with side pocket castings and tapered legs.
Sportsman looks very similar but with straight legs and one piece long rails.

IMO, this is a better table than the one in the OP.

Pro8 is the size, 46x92 playing surface. Don't know what model it is. Looks like a SportKing. If so it was made from '50 to '69. https://brunswick.pastperfectonline.com/library/6F1A3BC9-0C85-49E1-BF42-902209132071 Worth 7-800. Looks to be in good shape.
Agree pictures make it look real good, she said it's in a church so probably not used much.
She also said it's a solid slate, does that sound right? I can move a 3 piece but no-way I'm gonna be able to move a solid 8' slate

Assuming she was holding tape measure correct it's 46x92

There was several pictures I posted and they don't look like the sport king at all
