Dominant Eye same side as grip hand?

Search I had a similar question about dominant eye and did a search. Do an advanced search and search titles only. In summary, the majority of people are cross eyed dominant (from what I read). I find myself tilting my head a little bit because I am right handed and left-eye dominant but a lot...

Arizona Desert Classic Tour (video from first event)

first of all....bump! this is a great video that people should check out. Thank you very much for posting this. I noticed in the multimedia section that there is an 8 ball matchup listed under this one. Is that something that we can expect to see posted in the near future? awesome point kicks...

Do most "Pro's" use joint protectors?

I am probably wrong, but I think I disagree :P I had a set of joint protectors included when I picked up my mcdermott. I asked what the purpose was and they said everything that has been mentioned here....keep crap out of the joint, protect the pin and collar, blah blah blah. I really didn't...

    Any action in San Diego

They did a good job refelting all of the tables to host the apa Regionals this past fall. They also refelted all of the Gold Crowns. I would say that it is a nicer establishment than it was for this reason.

    My Hoppe Pro

Hey Tank, Are you going to keep the ivory ring on this one when you chop it up? :P

    Willie Hoppe Questions (pics)

Thanks Chris! Thanks for the response. The phenolic but collar does have that same spiral effect as in Tank's photo. You can actually see it in the photo i took -- hoppe_forearm.jpg -- i believe. As Tank mentioned, replacement shafts are available. Would you consider that to make the cue less...

    Brunswick Hoppe question

if you can post pics if the cues, there are some Hoppe experts that could definitely speak up and offer some advice. From what I have gathered, some of the rarer cues in better shape are worth more as collectors and others are worth more as conversions. A restoration, from what I have...

    Willie Hoppe Questions (pics)

Thanks! Hey everyone. Thanks for the pm's mostly. And thanks Nick for the response. This looks to be a cue which hasn't been modified other than the screw to hold the threading tight in the shaft. The black collar seems to be indicitave of the rarity of brass during the war era of 1941-1945. I...

    Willie Hoppe Questions (pics)

Hey Guys, I just picked up this cue recently, and wanted some input from everyone. I have a couple of questions. Mainly should I attempt to restore this cue or leave it as is? Any ideas as to the value? Any input is really appreciated. Thanks!

    Broken Shaft :(

problem seems to be that the jump/break shaft broke. I recommend getting a j&j jump/break cue for about $60-$80. Problem solved. If you are unsatisfied with the quality of your lucasi (playing cue) get a predator shaft for it. I don't see the viking as improving your situation. take care

    8-Ball Barbox break technique

I saw this video in the other thread you posted about Shane. Thanks for posting it. He has such smooth delivery and gets great contact with the head ball which results in an outstanding break. I don't quite have the technique to break like that, but it is definitely something to practice. I...

    8-Ball Barbox break technique

I tried to get some general information about breaking techniques but unfortunately, when you do a search for anything with "break" and select search titles only in the advanced options, the database throws an error. Anyways, some of the information I am looking to find out is whether you...

Is Shane Really ***THAT GOOD*** ? ?

Yeah, during high traffic times generally (or if you have a very slow internet connection) it can download slower than it plays. I get around this by pausing the video and doing something else for a few minutes. Generally about 2 games of freecell does the trick. This way it can build up more of...

    Nice shot Rocket!

I was definitely caught by suprise with that shot. It was pretty, but looked like he was just having fun. I thought high inside was the way to go...for me at least. But hey, to each his own. :)

APA/CPA singles, May 2008 Las Vegas

I am a semi-decent 4-5 player also, who just ran into a hot streak at the wrong time. :P I will definitely be up for practicing but not sure, where...I might not make it past the poker tables on my way to the events center. Pool cue fits nicely as a footstool when playing cards

APA/CPA singles, May 2008 Las Vegas

I am relatively new to pool and haven't gone to vegas yet. I have heard from fellow players that the last place gets paid out...I believe $200 for each bracket. I am not positive, just what I heard. I will be at the very top of the 6-7 bracket because I won the regional 4-5 board and got bumped...
