    Kamui tips

I tried the Kamui medium (older version) for a few months and imo it was certainly much harder than a Moori medium even at full height. I found the tip too hard with a "clickish" sound and it didn't hold chalk very well either. One good thing about Kamui is that it doesn't mushroom but...

My new player, she's a beauty!

By no stretch of the imagination can that cue be called a sneaky:D It is certainly a great-looking player - I like the colour contrast and the hoppe ring matches well with the joint. Congrats and enjoy!

Pat Diveney Cocobolo SP w/ 2 lakewood shafts

Thanks a bunch Richard for posting up some more pics of the cue. The lakewood shafts hit very solid and nice and I still have one of them on my playing cue. Hope someone will pick it up and enjoy it as much as I did.

Greg, no apologies needed and it's not an issue. I have certainly been guilty too of 'blindness' on more than a few occasions:) Thanks for the bump!

Pat Diveney Cocobolo SP w/ 2 lakewood shafts

Cue is still available. As it happened, the deal fell through because the fellow AZber wants a lighter cue (this cue is 19.5 oz with a balance point of 18.75 inches above butt-cap) and didn't see the weight posted on the first post. So bump!:)

    Question concerning Pat Diveney

The lakewood shafts are definitely stiffer than normal maple shafts (assuming they have the same taper) - I have owned 3 lakewood shafts and they all hit stiff and hard.

    WTB: Pink cue

    LF Wood-Wood Uni-loc Radial

You're right - leather on Lucasis are synthetic. But the Le-r does come with a linen wrap - see here Most would agree that a wood-to-wood joint gives a softer, less jarring hit than a steel-jointed cue but feel's also subjective and you gotta find out which you prefer.

    LF Wood-Wood Uni-loc Radial

The Lucasi L-ER... has a wood-to-wood joint. It just has a steel pin like most cues.

WTB: $400 for a Layani or a custom with 3/8-10 or 3/8-11 pin

I just got a payout and can spare $400 to try out a new cue. I'm especially interested in getting a Layani or failing that, a cue with 3/8-10 or 3/8-11 pin and preferably two 12.7-13 mm shafts. Cue must be straight together and apart and have a wrap. Let me know if you have a nice affordable...
