Hmmm I also thought that as well, I had a Huebler a few years ago and it had a brown bumper as did many if not all i have seen since. I just thought this was a older model and that was maybe the reason for a black bumper with no screw. The joint is a steel joint.

I think he was playing the 10 because if he misses it is in a safe position, so basically he played the 2 way. IMO
