    What is a Davis Blank

Davis blank Correct me if I'm wrong, I believe what John Davis does is called double splice, which offers great feel as a full splice, but also comes with capabilities of adjusting weight better, since different woods with different densities can be used. Chris has a lot of details on his...

Willie Hoppe cue and titlist question

I know this info is somewhere on the forum, just can't find it. What's the difference between Brunswick Willie Hoppe cue(BWH), and a Brunswick titlist? Optimum ferrule size

elephant ivory is pretty heavy, so it would deflect more, then why people still choose ivory as a best ferrule material? All high end cues have ivory ferrules? Is shorter ferrule more prone to cracking? I don't understand if shorter ferrule is lighter, better, then why not all high end cues...

    Optimum ferrule size

People say that shorter ferrule will create less deflection, so it's a better choice, 314(2) has 6/10 inch, Z(2) has 4/10 inch ferrule. So what's the best choice possible? Does long ferrule offer any advantages? I was thinking a straight maple shaft, 6/10 inch ferrule, 12.5mm tip, is this a...

    Tournament point system

point system I was thinking along the lines for any game you win, you get 1 point. Let's say score is 11-7, players would get 11 and 7 points respectively, I'm not sure if anyone has used a similar system. What I what to achieve is at the end of season, you total the points for each player and...
