Here comes a dead horse. SVB talk.

wanna compare that to the top money earners in other sports? To answer your question, NO, it's not enough. When Jordan was at the top of his game he cleared $100 MIL a year; I think Tiger has done that as well (both including endorsements, of course). I personally know a couple of guys that...

Here comes a dead horse. SVB talk.

Earl will never get back to the Earl of old...too many demons, but if Corey, or many others put in the time Shane does...who knows. Regionally, Jesse Bowman can still walk into most barbox tourneys and be "the man to beat", and he certainly doesn't put in the table time of Shane...he'd be SO...

Here comes a dead horse. SVB talk.

There are a few Americans that "could" be right there with Shane in playing ability, but pool being what it is right now, many players are just not focused on their game like Shane is. In no way is that a rip on Shane. He is a MONSTER by any right, and anywhere! If there were a way to make...

    Pet Peeve

Spimp...damn that avatar of yours!! I've had the hots for her since I was like 11 (28 years ago). My wife has given me a reprieve for Miss Alyssa (like it'll EVER happen). lol As for a $hit in ball, and people making a big deal about 'em....just speak up, and say; "$hit em all in, and you might...

You may hate the APA but.....

then why at the DCC does it seem like you are always looking for Tennile??:rolleyes::wink: to the new APA player....first and foremost; ENJOY YOURSELF! The learning process can be frustrating at times, but finding a way to make it fun will make you want to play more which in turn will...

Is there a pro with a more powerful stroke than Larry Nevel? (video)

he plays the SAME way... that's like saying, "I bet John Daly would shorten his backswing if he were playing in the British Open". He got to that level with a BIG ole stroke, and he has NO PROBLEM using it in situations when it's needed (against anyone).

How do I practice one pocket?

ABSOLUTELY everything Lou says here! You can do this at home or at the hall. Going into a poolhall and taking on someone MUCH better at 1P for the cash isn't the best idea. They will beat you without showing you much at all. Occasionally you'll find a knowledgeable 1p player that will help you...

Speed Pool, what is this Crap?

Bobby is who I was speaking of. There are a lot of players that think quick - shoot quick, (and I am really amazed watching GREAT ones). It's almost like they see things (patterns, angles, etc.) IMMEDIATELY, and can when executing it looks so natural (ala Jesse). I think Bobby and Luc Salvas...

Who except for predator makes pie-laminated, hollowed out shafts?

64 pieces to be exact. I ordered mine after trying Dave's prototype at the Derby a couple of years ago. LOVE it!! http://www.jacobycustomcues.com/hybrid.php

The Difference between Winning and Beating people

lol, you are assuming the spot won in the situation above. Maybe player Y doesn't even need a spot and is stringing X along....lol, it doesn't matter. It's just wording, won, beat, lost, annihilated...whatever...semantics

The Difference between Winning and Beating people

nah.... beating - Chris Brown winning - Charlie Sheen pool players are SO sensitive when it comes to what someone else says about the outcome of a match. lol

Speed Pool, what is this Crap?

a buddy of mine won a couple of the ESPN speedpool deals (07 and 08, I believe). The winnings were NICE....your opinion of it can be whatever, but the money isn't "crap", and the players who excel at it are PLAYERS.

The Difference between Winning and Beating people

it's an EGO thing....if it bothers you to hear it, then they have BEATEN you more than once :p No biggee, someone's gotta win and someone's gotta lose, sometimes the role is reversed and the lesser play will win. That lesser player will remember the one time he won even if he loses the next 20...

hey dub, i think the race might be over

yep, and that's why some buddies and I jumped ship to ACS after going to team nationals in 07....we all were raised, before, during and after (returning); meaning we woulda had to bust up our team into 3 teams and find a buncha new 3s and 4s. Improve, and no longer play with friends...

hey dub, i think the race might be over

sounds like you were playing pretty well....but hearing about an APA player that seems HAPPY to get raised, well, that's just ODD!!! lol
