Sounds like someone got beat by a player who sh*t in a ball and then apologized for it. It happens, I'm not sure why you feel the need to start a thread whining about it.
He's just tired of hearing people apologize for the rules of whatever game they're playing. It happens in just about everything, when a ball is pocketed in a way that was unintentional.
I don't think you'd hear a football player apologizing for an interception after the ball bounces off of a receiver or two.
Funny, was just discussing this last night... one of the best players in the room was the victim of a slop shot... he's gonna demolish his opponent anyway, but is very cool about it. The other player apologizes for his slop and he says "nah, **** that, don't apologize. Why should you?"
It makes sense to me. What's to feel sorry about? That the opponent caught a bad break? Why pretend you're rooting for him and are hoping he gets back to the table? Both of you know you don't sincerely feel sorry for catching a roll.
Rather than issue a fake apology I just keep shooting with no change at all in rhythm or demeanor. Or if it's a buddy I'll sometimes crack a lame joke. "The average guy plays it in the corner but it takes a man to bank it two rails in the side." ..or "that was the only way to play shape".
Actually that kind of comment probably would drive the OP just as nuts

Spimp...damn that avatar of yours!! I've had the hots for her since I was like 11 (28 years ago). My wife has given me a reprieve for Miss Alyssa (like it'll EVER happen). lol
As for a $hit in ball, and people making a big deal about 'em....just speak up, and say; "$hit em all in, and you might have a chance". :boring2: If it's part of the rules, it'll happen to ya sooner or later.
Slop in pool is just like sucking out on the river. It happens occasionally, but in the vast majority of the times the better player wins. Whether or not someone makes a big deal about slopping a ball in during a pool game or sucking out on the river says a lot about themselves in real life. So, if the player you're talking about is overly dramatic when slopping in a ball, I bet he's a drama queen in life, too.
