    Who can customize my case?!

If you have decent freehand writting skills, or know of someone who does, you can personalize (at least the top of the lid) with any of the wood burning tools. Leather burns pretty easily with one of thos electric pens and it doesn't look too bad. If you keep the lettering size to 1/2" or so...

    League records in your area?

Just to help out the post by lady9ball, if you visit the ISPA web site (ispa.in2pool.com), you can browse throught any of our 30+ leagues statistics. We are quite satisfied with the stats info provided by the in2pool site and you can get so much info from these sites. You can actually see what...

Best practice for 2 friends who play together regularly.

I play a weekly match with a league team mate. We play a combination of 8-ball and 9-ball on his bar box for three hours keeping track of our wins. Who ever is ahead at the end wins $10. Won't be able to retire and it's enough to badger the other guy about. We seem to stay pretty competative...

    scoring question

Wow, 7 points if you sink th e8-ball out of turn...that's a pretty big handicap if used like in your "problem' example. I quite sure our league doesn't have that rule since I wrote most of the rules that are specific to our league. I'd have to say, I would never have considered a rule that was...

    scoring question

I had a situation come up last night that I think may have been discussed here already but I wouldn't know where to find it. If it has been covered extensively amd someone knows where it is, please post a link and I'll read that...no sense covering it again. Here's the situation: WPA rules...

    derby city?

All 7 footers? I did not know all the tables were 7 footers. Do they play all of the matches (10-ball, 9-ball, 1-pocket and bank) on 7 footers? I'm just curious as I have never been to the DCC. Good to know... L8R...Ken I guess the answers were being posted as I was typing...soory about that.

Did the TD make the right call??

That's not right!!!!! If the guy didn't cause a delay in the final match...or in any match that he was playing, he should be allowed to play. If he had started a match then had his diabetic episode, then yes, he should be forfieted out. But it doesn't sound like he jepordized the tournament...

    Team names

Getting Old As I am getting older, I have wanted to start a team with all over 55 Yr Old players. Of course the name "Old Farts" always comes to mind, but with a slight play on words, I would use "Antiquated Flatulants":D . Maybe someday. L8R...Ken

9 or 10 Ball Ring Game Rules

OK, I just did a search of this forum and didn't the the answer I was looking for. I would like to know if there are any printer rules for the 9-Ball or 10-Ball Ring Games. I am pretty sure I know all of the rules but I had a situation the other day that was quite unbelievable. After league...

    Work with the Indian Casinos?

I would really like to see more tournaments in casinos. There is only one or two a year around here and they're usually filled. It is at least a good setting for a pool tournament. I believe a casino would attract a few new people if they had a Pro event once in a while...I don't think they...

    Bar Tournaments

two tournaments... Try running two seperate tournaments...one for 'C' and below with a $5 entry and one for 'B' and above with a higher entry fee. If you run your tournaments on Saturday or Sunday, you could start one at noon and the other at 6 or 7. If you use week nights, use two different...

    Blue or Green?

If you stick to the traditional dark blue chalk ( red...yuck!!!where's that pucking smiley face)...then I'll agree. I have switched to the mint blue chalk and find that color doesn't leave any marks on the table and my hands and cue shaft don't turn dark blue either. I know a lot of people...

    Blue or Green?

Blue Baby I used to have green on my home table. The room is basically dark wood paneling in the basement. Kinda dark. It was pretty good but kinda hard to see dark balls (8 and 6) when they were on the end rails. Put new electric blue on and a couple of thing happend...I started making...

    BCA 8 Ball rules question

As Satman said..."Actually, it's a GREAT!!!! shot"...that caron/6-railer would be a "shot of the match" in some of the TV games. I can't believe some of those that they pick. Some are really well executed skilful shots, but some are a lot of luck. BTW, I agree with all of the 'opinions'...

When can you no longer cross the tangent line??

I'll take a stab at it... I usually consider the point of no return with regard to high/low english on a cut to be when I am cutting 'half' of the object ball or more. I have found that high and/or draw english does not 'take' when cutting a ball more than half...I would estimate the angle of...

An unusual foul called on me, anyone know this rule?

not a foul From the WPA rules, this explains it: 8.18 Miscue A miscue occurs when the cue tip slides off the cue ball possibly due to a contact that is too eccentric or to insufficient chalk on the tip. It is usually accompanied by a sharp sound and evidenced by a discoloration of the tip...

Shane Van Boening & His Pat Diveney Cue!

I Know Why, Mosconiac Cause they're reeeeaaallly goooood cues, that's why. And I should know, I use one every day. Got it from Pat two years ago and it'll be the last cue I'll ever buy (unless I run across a $50 mint Balabushka). I started with Meucci (had two) then switched to Schon (I've...

I think there must be alot of people teying to view those videos. I had the same problem...just slow to load up...slower than they are actually playing. To answer Cannonball55's question...yes he is that good - no hipe. I watched him all last week and his stroke...his entire game is smooth as...

    SVB's Great 8B Runout @ 2008 ISPA Tournament

Diveney for sure Thecoats: It'a his new Diveney. He picked it up at Pats booth on Thursday. Pat called it a Tuxedo because it's all Ebony and Ivory. It's a beaut I can atest to that. Just as always, perfect, sharp points and the Lizard wrap was excellent. I actually got to hold it...just...
