Trying to find out what kind of table this is.

That looks identical to all the Van Wyck's I've worked on (unfortunately too many of them). The legs and cabinet are the give away. Not sure they are still making them but perhaps they changed their engineering. If so, you are lucky as there are 6 lags screws per rail in everyone I've seen...

Trying to find out what kind of table this is.

I'm in Mooresville so hopefully it's me you refer to! My company is called The Table Pro. Unfortunately I don't venture too far away from home or I would go to Raleigh. There is a guy East of Greensboro that does good work, I'll see if I can locate him for the OP. Robin

Trying to find out what kind of table this is.

That's a Van Wyck table made in SC. This area is saturated with them and they are not fun to work on. They are one piece slates and the slate is tapped out to receive 6" lags screws with several washers from underneath and they go in all different directions. The pockets are not bolted in and...

Anyone know of 9' tables in Iowa?

Corner Pocket in Downtown Ames has one 9' GC IV and two 9' Anniversaries. Also has 12' snooker table if you want a challenge on a big table. Don't try it at home :yikes:

    ** F/S Olney Plain Jane **

FYI everyone....I helped a friend of mine (not an AZer) purchase this cue. First, he said dealing with Tony was a pleasure and the sale went flawlessly and even had the cue on Monday morning this week. What a fantastic turn around Tony and I appreciate you taking good care of him. Second...

Are the table makers still in business ?

I thought World of Leisure bit it a few years back but just Googled them and they still have a live website: http://worldofleisuremfg.com/index.html

    Table quality

They are made by American Heritage. A.H. used to be made in Brunswick, OH then moved to Streetsboro, OH. They've had their issues but for casual home use were not too badly built and are family friendly. I've heard they now import from China so buyer beware if they are of the quality of other...

OLNEY CUES (the search is over)

Agreed, agreed...........and agreed! Still have a 20 year old Olney I SHOULD put away but when I try others, I just can't get that special feel I get with this Olney. I know how you're feeling about yours Trav! I still need to make it down to my in-laws and pay you a visit to see your...

Climate change in garage affecting table?

Nice find Chris! If you can locate a hotel going out of business you can pick up a used A/C - heat combo floor unit from them. A neighbor did that and had no issues as they are on thermostats and you can control your temp. I think he said his used unit (which looked new) ran about $500...

US amateur championship free live stream Nov 4,5,6

No question about him being strong! He'll fare well at this event unless he runs into a buzz saw. Watch Patrick Tobin and Daniel Gambill who are both from the same area as Parks. Gambill has been in the top five the last few years. All of the final 32 this year looks like a tough field!

    2 new Jeff Olneys

You'll never find anything but perfection in every detail of his cues. Jeff is a perfectionist in every sence of the word and making certain a cue is built for playing is paramount. Play with them for awhile....you may just decide to keep them!

US amateur championship free live stream Nov 4,5,6

When was he ever considered anything but an amateur? He plays in a lot of our local tournaments and wins some and loses some. I know he won the US Amateur back in '94.

9' AMF Playmaster. Local. Almost Free

The table is called the "Rogue" and was next to the bottom of the entry tables for AMF Playmasters. Press board blinds with laminate covering, timberstrand frame, particle board legs with the laminate again. The rails are solid poplar with Cuisanart laminate on top and has the AMFast cusions...

    Table ID

Thank you Jay and GC4! Big help and the customer appreciates having an idea of what the table can look like. It will definitely need restoration as the veneers on the legs are gone amongst other dire needs. The slate was really in fantastic shape for a century old table! Thanks again! Robin

    Table ID

A family was given this table and invited me to look at it to assess what it needs. All I had was my cell phone so the pictures are not too great but perhaps some of you antique experts can ID this monster. It's a 10', 1.5" slate, ball return, 5 bolts per rail. There was an inscription where...

    Beautiful Olney!

With the current wait on Jeff's cues, I'd keep it! I've been the proud owner of two Olney's for over 20 years now. One I keep in my case and the other is my daily player. Over the years I couldn't count the compliments I've had on looks alone. When I've actually allowed anyone to hit a...

    Wanted: Cloth suggestions

For anyone saying there is no sub. for Simonis, I disagree and it's for those customers who absolutely have a budget. Ever heard of it? Some of my customers simply will not pay the price they are asking for it and rather than lose the business, I will, without hesitation suggest ProForm as...
