Happy birthday, Tro. I also had my 40th birthday in August. But that was August of 1984.

From an old thread: I ran across this post* which mentions lead in billiards chalk. The date on the web page is November 2003, but it doesn't mention the date of manufacture for the chalk. I have been unable to find the original study. *the web page is no longer available.

I also felt that the Tournament blue is too bright, so I went with the Powder Blue 860. Here are a couple of pics. I am very happy with the color.

To me, it looks like an Olhausen Augusta.

I almost agree, but for the layered tip, I really like the Kamui Black Hard. Next best thing there is to a Triangle.

Thanks to all of you for your replies. I don't know which pin I will wind up using - I haven't yet calculated how much weight I need to move. But, thanks to you gentlemen, I now know that the aluminum pin will be okay. The knowledge available from experienced craftsmen is probably the best...

Thanks, Jim. The G-10 is an option, of course, but I'm interested in how the aluminum holds up. By the way, the cue I'm modifying has some fine Jim Baxter j/ps with aluminum pins.

I want to move the balance toward the butt on a cue. It has a stainless radial pin, and I'm thinking about having that changed to aluminum and then adding a weight bolt in the butt. I don't recall ever seeing the aluminum radial pin mentioned on AZB. I'm wondering if there are any problems with...

Wish I could help, but I've had a GC5 for over two years and have never seen this. Maybe Brunswick is using a different source for the pockets.
