    I'm 40 tomorrow.....

Happy birthday, Tro. I also had my 40th birthday in August. But that was August of 1984.

    Jerry, I disagree with you

From an old thread: I ran across this post* which mentions lead in billiards chalk. The date on the web page is November 2003, but it doesn't mention the date of manufacture for the chalk. I have been unable to find the original study. *the web page is no longer available.

How long did it take you to become a good pool player?

Played my first game in 1956. Still can't answer this question, but I'll let you know when I get there.

    1 Just finished up

Exactly what I thought as soon as I saw it. Love the tulip wood, Doug. The colors really work well together.

    Ivory butterfly

Very nice, Doug. Keep me in mind when the cue gets near completion. I think it would look great in the case next to this one:

Favorite color of Simonis for a home table?

I also felt that the Tournament blue is too bright, so I went with the Powder Blue 860. Here are a couple of pics. I am very happy with the color.

Can anyone identify the maker of this table?

    best damn tip ever

I almost agree, but for the layered tip, I really like the Kamui Black Hard. Next best thing there is to a Triangle.

    Anyone use aluminum radial pins?

Thanks to all of you for your replies. I don't know which pin I will wind up using - I haven't yet calculated how much weight I need to move. But, thanks to you gentlemen, I now know that the aluminum pin will be okay. The knowledge available from experienced craftsmen is probably the best...

    Anyone use aluminum radial pins?

Thanks, Jim. The G-10 is an option, of course, but I'm interested in how the aluminum holds up. By the way, the cue I'm modifying has some fine Jim Baxter j/ps with aluminum pins.

    Anyone use aluminum radial pins?

I want to move the balance toward the butt on a cue. It has a stainless radial pin, and I'm thinking about having that changed to aluminum and then adding a weight bolt in the butt. I don't recall ever seeing the aluminum radial pin mentioned on AZB. I'm wondering if there are any problems with...

    New Year mood and cues

Really great looking cues. What is the wrap on that bottom butterfly. Looks lumpy (and I mean that in a good way).

    WTB: House in Tucson

I posted this in the wanted/for sale forum, but thought this may also get some attention here. I'm strongly considering moving to Tucson early next year, so I am looking for a house suitable for a pool player (I'm not great at pool, but I can't imagine not having a table in the house). A room...

We're Sending the AZ Horse to Jamaica Joes 9 Ball Nov 4,5,6

I hadn't noticed the offer of a day pass in the original post, so I was surprised when I received the day pass from Ray today. I'm looking forward to tuning in, and hope that we get a chance to catch Robley on camera. That would be a kick. Go get 'em, Robley!

    Black marks

Wish I could help, but I've had a GC5 for over two years and have never seen this. Maybe Brunswick is using a different source for the pockets.

    Male Poolplayer Calendar?

Yeah, right. The thought of Earl in an assless beekeeper's outfit is more than a little disturbing.
