    Que Perfect Cues

Whether Efren uses his cue or not, I have little tolerance for that kind of cuebuilder long-winded egotistical windbag spiel. I prefer to see a cuebuilder post a few pics of his work with a simple description, and then show a speck of humility, as ER does after any great runout.

    Electronics buffs? Hobbyists?

Compare yes, but you're delusional if you think it'll stand up to even a lower-tier high-end system. And what the heck you think a small (even large) pair of Bose will do for the bottom end escapes me. It sounds like you're due for trip to a quality audio store to hear what you're missing.

Earl wins Mosconi Cup MVP...And speaks

Well yes, IF he was justified. Without the whole story of what prompted his outburst, impossible to say.

Earl wins Mosconi Cup MVP...And speaks

How, in the name of everything that's sacred, is your "men who batter" comment getting "back on topic" regarding Earl's behavior? Do you equate felonious battery with insults? And with all the genuinely vicious problems inflicted by people on society, do you really consider Earl's problem...

    New Mike Bender For Sale

That's a beauty. I say it's a darn fair price, especially when you compare $2400 for a six-point SW. I regret my sad, empty pockets.

    New Lambros Joint

Jon, There's nothing about the design which makes contact in both areas impossible. But doing so would require precision probably beyond the scope of cuemakers' machine tools. Additionally, if both surfaces didn't wear in equally as is likely, then there'd be only one or the other contact area...

Wanted: deflation of custom cue prices!

Never happen... ...nor should it. I'm guessing you don't understand the time and materials sum. As such, production cues are what you'll end up with. Most custom builders charge a fair price and don't drive Mercedes', though some are skilled enough to deserve to. When I handle a terrific cue...

Awesome 18 Point Ned Morris Custom Cue -- Ebony & Ivory

These chickenshit moves prove a lack of integrity, the bux above all. Makes me wonder about cue condition, age, straightness, etc. Oh, and he'll be back soon, patting himself on the back, touting another great deal on a phantom cue. What a weiner.

    Cored forearms vs. solid

We do absolutely disagree. I will never want my Coco-bolo to hit like Maple. I'll always take that slight gamble on the hit or take one off the shelf, or deal with a known builder. And for a person who's building a collection, and likes to play, why have them all hit alike? Please understand...

    Cored forearms vs. solid

I appreciate that some woods, such as Ebony may need to be cored to reach a target weight, and some such as Tulipwood are cored to prevent warpage. But damn, many builders core them all, except maple, citing consistency of hit as the payoff. But to me that's not a payoff, it's a liability. I...

What Do You Hate To See In A Cue?

Aw, don't pay any attention to me. NDs are just a design element that was, IMO, thoroughly exhausted by the mid-70s (or sooner). I'm sure Skip will breathe new life into 'em.
