put a blacklight on the table to make sure it is genuine simonis and also to get the serial number for the batch of cloth then call them.

the car repair bondo works and so does the home repair product. make sure you get it almost perfect before it drys .....it will sand out but it's a lot of sanding .....i used a little mouse sander seemed to work well....but don't slap it on like dry wall mud and expect and easy sanding time...

Bondo is the best imo ... I use a heat gun on the old contact cement to make it bubble up then remove the rest with a razor scraper. use 3m-10 glue to adhese the new cushions. make sure you know the correct profile of cushions to replace on this subrail as modern cushions may not match up...

simple ...get a good table mechanic to fix the errors of the prior table mechanic. sounds like you'll probably need new cushions, new facings and may have to recalibrate the subrails ....you may also need some subrail extensions if you want to tighten the pockets and don't end up having to do...

you also need to find out what profile cushions he put on the table. if the cloth is loose then he may not have known what the correct cushion profiles is for that table. post some pictures of the pockets and the rails on this site and the guys here can tell you if it is even worth dealing with...
