the frame is flat,so are the slates...wedges are not...you get it.
sorry Pat.being a french canadian ,i might not always use the right figures of speech... what i meant is i saw on the threads what you can do and i just assumed that you already know...no disrespect intended. As far as using wedges for leveling,my experience tells me it is wrong. They should be used only for adjusting the seams.I saw too many tables done that way which the wedges backed off,dropping the slates back on the frame,busting the seams...after only a year...on the 22 tables in Luc Salvas pool hall.Redid all of the installs and they haven't budged since.

You will have to read every last post on the section of forums to understand the way and how we know tables....problems such as shims backing out has been solved very simply'
