I'll be at SBE this year...

Please don't. I will be busy enough running the Omega Billiards booth. Edit: think I should add a smiley face, just in case someone takes it seriously. Haha.

Help me identify this Schon (then sell it to me)

The second Schon from the right was a used Schon that I bought in Las Vegas several years back. I am not sure if I still have it as I keep a bunch of used cues in the stock room. I have never seen anything close to that design. Ever. So I cannot tell you much about it. Sorry.

    Coll cue, by Coll Cues

Wait, if he can't play a lick, and he beat me, what does that say about my playing skills? :frown::sorry::confused: Damn, I always thought I am good. You must have seen the biggest monster he's making for me. Please tell him to send me pictures. I've been waiting for several years. :eek...

    <<<<it's george cue case lover's>>>>>

I bought one with the exact design, except mine was made with different kinds of snake skins. Not sure what kinds of snakes, but little pieces like that. I think I then sold it within 24 hours. Mine was a 2x4, if I remember correctly. This is the 2nd case of this design that I have ever seen...

Does an Online Seller Have to offer a Satisfaction Guarantee??

This has been a very good thread so far. I really enjoy reading everyone's opinions and can understand them.

    Bucktooth

I saw him in Reno at the USBTC Tournament last month. As mentioned, he also seemed subdued in Reno too, and yes, I also miss his antics. Hope all is fine with him.

    Southwest cues....Just got my call...

Congratulations. You will enjoy the cue. Southwest cues are popular for a reason. Dennis Orcollo had some of his biggest wins using a Southwest cue. If you want to sell the other one, give me a call. Regards, Mike.

Shot clocks at The Southern CLassic!!!

I forgot about the extentions. As pointed out, you can shorten the shot clock, but provide one extension per game for those situations where some thoughts are required. That would be fair to both competitors.

Las Vegas & Pro Pool - What I am Talking about Here is the Future

What you wrote above is actually the very key foundation of our problem: How to attract the casual fans to this wonderful billiards game. I am hoping that one day we can fix it.

Shot clocks at The Southern CLassic!!!

Since Greg and Pat have decided on shot clock, I think 45 seconds is fine for rotation and bank games. 150 seconds for One Pocket.

Las Vegas & Pro Pool - What I am Talking about Here is the Future

Well, we will never know until it actually happens. So there's really no point in debating something that most likely won't happen. But consider these billiards facts that will back up my point: 1/ The BCA usually has the largest attendance rate when they hold shows in Vegas compare to...

Las Vegas & Pro Pool - What I am Talking about Here is the Future

Because Vegas is Vegas IS the reason why I would hold pro tournaments there.:smile::smile: It provides the average fans something else to entertain themselves. There is only so much the average fans can watch pool. :) As for the hardcore fans, you can hold tournaments in Antarctica...

Financing within the pool industry ??

Not sure which liquor license you mean, but I wouldn't recommend Off-Premise liquor license. It's not worth it, for me. The margin is way, WAY bigger in the on-site consumption such as night clubs, bars. I would do that.

Financing within the pool industry ??

The very basic problem with "pool" in general is the lack of participation, and I even dare to say the big decline of participation. It's really simple: no players = no buyers = no business. In our industry (selling cues), it's even worse. We have a whole lot more of supplies with a whole...

Las Vegas & Pro Pool - What I am Talking about Here is the Future

I love and spend a lot of time in Vegas, probably about 3 months a year on average. If you DON'T GAMBLE and don't get caught spending money on the Strip, it's just like everywhere else. It's just really hot there in the summer, but I handle the hot weather better than the cold. So I am ok...
