    If you have trouble miscuing, your stroke probably needs work. Its a poor craftsman that blames his tools. Master chalk on a nice Ultraskin tip is all you need.

    Cutting down tips

    Trimming tips flush without a lathe can certainly be done, but it takes a touch and some practice. Ultraskins are one of the easiest tips to trim, but its not unusual to hear you had problems. Find someone with a lathe to do your tip replacements. A cut down tip plays better than full height...

    Sorry to say I have one of these and the quality is poor. Have it refinished for $150 and you will have a $100 cue at best. They do look great though, from across the room.

    Cue Length

    I agree, a 60 inch cue plays a good bit different than a 58. I liked mine, a Frey sneaky. Ignore the Indian/arrow folks, follow your cue dream.

    Micro-grit shaft smoothing papers in bulk?

    The gimmick is that its just not necessary to sand up to 4000 grit, much less 8000. Your mileage may vary.

    New Ultraskin Tip

    I have put on dozens of Ultraskin tips now for players in my area. Like most tips, they play much better trimmed down a bit. With Ultras I can trim them down without feeling bad about wasting expensive product. So far, I have had one medium mushroom. It takes about one minute on the lathe...
