I saw a similar cue in 1986 with a purple veneer around the boxes. I thought it was the ugliest cue I had ever seen and I laughed at the concept. Now 25 years later, box cues are all I want to collect. Nice pickup. Shame on me for snoozing.

That cue is gorgeous. A home run. The ringwork is fresh and the contrasts on the dark forearm work for me. Nice cue!

Look for a used Andy Gilbert. It will cost a little, but she can get great use out of it for life. Andy's break cues play fantastic too. Best bang for your buck. Pete Ohman's JB cues are also superb. They are a bit harder to find. Budget around $250 and keep looking.

I'm sure the show will be fantastic. The venue has changed but not those who run the event. Alan knows what the players and collectors want. He has never disappointed in the past. Expect a first class event.
