If i were running an event, it would be no early 10s EXCEPT on the break. For the reason you noted. I primarily play 10b and can count on one hand the number of times i've made it on the break.
I strongly disagree that you can't play 2-way shots. You see players do it all the time, you just need...
Disagree. I ride with quite a few people in their 60s and 70s. The risks of staying active are far less than not and cycling is really easy on your body compared to many things (especially running/walking).
The break is tougher, call pocket, and no early 10s (generally) make 10b much tougher than 9b. A place for both, and 8b, and 1p, and 3c, and and and... Variety is good, but I'll let longer 10b matches differentiate skill.
I'm not familiar with the template they were using, but it looked like the racks were really inconsistent too. No one seemed to get a consistent break pattern and we all know how good these players are at repeating breaks...
I essentially fully rotated out my BKRush. I didn't like the sport grip (it's too tacky and fat for my taste) so I started putting the BK shaft on a Roadline I couldn't get balanced in a way liked for play. I switched to a 30" Revo 12.9 with a Kamui SAI Control Break tip and have been using that...
Expanding on this with a request (because y'all don't have enough to do already :ROFLMAO:): Can we get a display in FargoRate that shows a bell curve of ratings with a "you are here" line? It would be really interesting to see what the rating distribution looks like.
Have you ruled out turnips and cabbages also? :ROFLMAO:
I like Jayson, he's fun to watch in all events and he's good at stirring the pot at just the right time. The hockey player in me loves some well-timed chirping/showmanship.
It is a fun joke to watch (at least for me). They make it look hilariously easy.
Styer has been better at Mosconi anyway. But yeah, the US and Europe/Asia have the same problem for different reasons: Europe/Asia: "Damn we've got so many world-class players, who do we pick?" US: "Shit, well...
The GC3-4s at Shooter's in MSP are 5.5" corners (with 5(?) exceptions, plus the 2 Diamonds). Those pockets are HUGE. At least until you hit the edge of the plastic pocket insert and it spits the ball back at you...
New subforum just for these topics: "Just The Tip"
The experimentation part can get a little spendy. I decided to try around after using a Kamui Black Soft for 15 years. Was having issues with mushrooming and needing to shape it all the time. Probably spent $200 in tips, labor, and fuel (Doc's...
Pinsetters don't need to worry about the pins touching though. A pin being a couple mm off center is acceptable, but would be awful in pool. The "new" (circa 2010s) Brunswick setters can set individual pins, which is pretty cool. Getting a set of round objects touching consistently with robotics...
