    Williard cue tipping machine

I understand your point, and it makes perfect sense. I also understand the situation with carbon fiber, there is little you can do about. Hopefully, the whole industry doesn’t head in that direction.

    Stainless Ferrule

The biggest problem is the end mass which will create massive deflection unless it is sleeved instead of solid. Peace Bro👍

    Stainless Ferrule

They are sleeved, not solid and sleeving them reduces the end mass and the weight.

    AZB MASCOT

When I was a teenager there was guy in the pool room who was born with two fingers. Someone, made him a prosthetic with a bridge attached to it. The guy could run 30 to 40 balls playing straight pool, and he could play 8 and 9 ball very well. But, his favorite game was 3-Cushion Billiards and...

    Help Identify This Cue!

Yeah, you certainly made a big mistake my friend. Those cues were well built with beautiful designs, unfortunately after Richard left the factory went to hell in a hand basket. Like you said it was almost like giving them away at the prices he offered them to you. I have a number of the them in...

I must have missed the part about the Ivory rings and ferrule sorry. In this cases it’s definitely not a Helmstetter or Adam cue. Good luck hope you can identify it.

    Help Identify This Cue!

I suspect that this cue is a 1970s Adam or Helmstetter cue. I have seen many without weight bolt only a wooden plug like cue has.

Best All-Around Production Cue for ~$1000 (Value, Playability, Durability, Support)?

I try to give everyone a chance if they at first show their ass, but after that, I will never respond to them again. Every one makes mistakes, god knows I have made my share. I will say I totally agree with your sentiments on the subject. Take care.

    Stainless Ferrule

Good luck finding it, you may need to make it yourself. Should be easy to buy a stainless steel rod and bore it out and thread it yourself. Did you explain to him how much deflection that a stainless steel ferrule will cause? When I was building custom cues and doing a lot of repair work I had...

Best All-Around Production Cue for ~$1000 (Value, Playability, Durability, Support)?

Dude, you called me a used car salesman, so yea I certainly took offense to that comment. But, it’s water under the bridge, I accept your apology we all make mistakes my friend. The OP is a new player looking for advice, which I provided. If you would like to see my background and cues I have...

CALLING ALL CUE DETECTIVES… ID NEEDED!!!

I use to handle a lot of Adam / Helmstetter cues and this cue certainly does scream Helmstetter like you said. It also has many of the problems those cues had due to the finish they used. As, you can see in the photo, there is a lot of expansion that has occurred around the inlays and veneers...
