Use linen phenolic, the same material used for jump break ferrules. It doesn't cross thread like Nylon and it also will give you a better connection. Not to mention it also will wear much better over time than the nylon does. Either way good luck

Here is a refinished Heubler cue that is for sale. I do not know what model the cue is or when it was exactly made. The cue weights 21 oz as it is, and the shaft is 12.75mm at the ferrule. The cue is straight and in my opinion it hits real good. The asking price is firm at Sold plus shipping in...

You certainly need better photo's of the cue. But from what I can see it looks like a lower end import cue from China or Taiwan. Most carved cues are nothing else, so I would not spend much money (more than around $25 to $40) on the cue if I were you.
