Took The Old McDermott Out For A Stroll Today

Who knows. :) The cue has a perfect record in professional tournaments. One tournament - one win!

Took The Old McDermott Out For A Stroll Today

My other McDermott plays pretty good, too. :) CJ Wiley was able beat Earl Strickland in the finals of the Million Dollar Challenge Tournament in 1996 with it. The Million Dollar Challenge Tournament cue is the one on the bottom in the two photos above. (The tape is where I was measuring...

Took The Old McDermott Out For A Stroll Today

I was surprised they were able to perfectly match the rings on the new shaft to a cue that was made around 40 years ago.

Took The Old McDermott Out For A Stroll Today

I bought this C-14 model cue new in 1985, when the D-series cues came out. I was playing with my second custom Richard Black cue at the time and I wasn’t in the market for a cue, but my old boss at the pool hall where I worked as a kid was a dealer and I was able to get it at a super-low price...

How do you guys handle the loud music at pool halls?

I had rather hear Meatloaf a thousand times in a row over three hardcore rap songs in a row.

How do you guys handle the loud music at pool halls?

This is music. I saw her about the same time this video was recorded and I think she wore the same dress in part of her show. I was living in the Philippines and she came for a USO concert. She was “HOT”!

How do you guys handle the loud music at pool halls?

Call me “dead”. Some nice looking girls in the video, but I don’t consider the lyrics or soundtrack to be “music”. :)

Pick me up a 13mm shaft with a 5-16/14 joint and an ivory ferrule while you are there. LOL.

I don’t have one of his cues. I only have one of his shafts.

    Any word from Dennis Searing....

I am talking quality of “play” and structural integrity…a cue that isn’t going to fall apart. Perfectly-aligned points and no visible glue lines are cosmetic… You can keep all the bling… I like simple cues.

These Jackpots are too sweet to get rid of.

Cue rubber bumper vs cue no rubber bumper

That is what I was thinking, too, but I wanted a second opinion. Thanks.

She would have got rid of the SW in a minute if she ever hit the Jackpot. :)

Not if that is what she spent the same amount of time with and had never used a SW.

    Any word from Dennis Searing....

I lived in Taiwan and have relatives there and go there every so often. I know how they think. Status is everything over there to the majority of them. Having a SW shows “wealth”. It has nothing to do with it being the actual best product. One, or more, of the first pros there became a...
