you can get those neodymium magnets pretty cheap on amazon. Couldn't you just use some hot glue on the bottom of a cue of chalk to place the magnet? you could even move the magnet to a new piece of chalk by just reheating. I have used the hot glue with stuff that pulls a lot harder than this...

I like smaller tip sizes around 12 - 12.5MM because I have small hands and it makes closed bridges easier for me.

justy fyi, i had a bad week and i am 2 bottles of jameson in with some good friends, so my advice is just throw away the warped cue and buy the shaft you want. you only live once so enjoy it.

Clean and polish, no way -- too much time wasted. Wipe them down quick with a microfiber towel to get chalk marks / etc off the balls, sure.

Since I play with a soft tip I do not break with my playing cue. When I used to use a hard water buffalo tip I did break with my playing cue. I also found I break better with a heavier break cue (24oz) and my playing cue is 18.5oz.

i use the ultraskins because they are cheap and I was able to mix and match all the different varieties until i found one I really liked.

i use a laser device to shoot a straight line and then use the donuts along that line to place the balls where needed.
