2 inch balls on 7ft bar box

That is incorrect. There was a pocket game in the US from the 18th century up until about 1870 called American Four-Ball Billiards, played on a large four-pocket table with four billiard balls - two of them white and two red.

    Where's Glen Hancock (Therealkingcobra)?!?

Thanks very much for the kind words. I love Italy, Italian culture and cuisine, and the people. I've been there several times, and have a couple of Italian guys working for me now. I understand it's possible to attain Italian citizenship, though perhaps more difficult than is the case with...

    Where's Glen Hancock (Therealkingcobra)?!?

    I beg to differ. Aramith makes their Premier ball set in the following sizes: "Pool balls - Size : 48 mm (1 7/8") - 50.8 mm (2") - 52.4 mm (2 1/16") - 54 mm (2 1/8") - 57.2 mm (2 1/4")" See this page: https://www.aramith.com/regular-range-pool In addition, I have a vintage set that's 1 3/4"...

    Where's Glen Hancock (Therealkingcobra)?!?

Some dickhead sends me a private message accusing me of being Glen. It takes all kinds, I guess.

    Where's Glen Hancock (Therealkingcobra)?!?

Compassion. You know, we don't know what happened. Glen's last post was 2:07 p.m. EST, 1/30/202, a couple of hours before this thread started. Glen could be sick or injured, God forbid deceased, or otherwise incapacitated, or unable to respond. I think we should have some compassion, and...

    GC I counter therapy?

You can remove these without removig the ball box. There are holes in the top of the ball box, inside, through which you insert a 1/8" Allen wrench to turn out the retaining cap screws.

Rail Rubber and Facing Filling or Fairing Compound?

Sorry if I miscommunicated, I have no plan to change pocket angles! Just want to preserve the original angles, and get the proper linings.

Rail Rubber and Facing Filling or Fairing Compound?

Thank you for that. I'm trying to gather up all of the knowledge I need, and parts and materials I need, to do this job. I'm planning on making "gauges" - wooden block templates - for setting the pockets, and putting some wooden blocks on a carpenter's square for squaring-up the corners...

Rail Rubber and Facing Filling or Fairing Compound?

I hear that, thanks. I'm getting ready for a refurbishment of my table, as it was terribly installed, and has some oddness to it. I want it to be extremely consistent, pocket to pocket, and to be as close as possible to an "original spec" Gold Crown I, a fun, family table. Since this thread...

Rail Rubber and Facing Filling or Fairing Compound?

This seemed to make sense to me: from realkingcobra in AZB post: "Facings play a major role in rejecting balls from pockets as do cushions. Take the Olhausen tables for example. The cushions are very, very soft, the facings are 1/8″ and very soft. What happens on an Olhausen table is that when...

Need Original Gold Crown Rail Bolts

I wasn't aware that screws came in hardened variety. Typically, there's not enough carbon in a steel screw to harden it. You might have luck case-hardening it, though. I assume you want hardened so there's less chance of messing up the head? I actually prefer a slotted screw head for this...
