Question on cost of table transfer and setup

John, If this strategy works for you thats great! My experience with getting the customer involved with the hands on operations has not worked out very well and I therefore "TRY" to avoid it. It sounds like you've got it mastered so "thats good, real good" and I'm happy for you! Could you now...

Question on cost of table transfer and setup

John, Your getting a little defensive, IMHO. I never suggest to the customer that they get involved in any aspect of the table service. Moving, packing, transportation, disassembly, locating the table in the room, ect...... From my experience these are all jobs better left to a paid...

    3M Spray Adhesive

Shane, Bar tables pay the highest hourly rate of any service work I do. With good technique and proper set up $75-$100 per working hr. is no problem. I recommend hooking up with your vendors, and your bar rooms that own their tables, it's truly residual income. Jay

    3M Spray Adhesive

You may notice in the picture of the covered rails that the staples are only at the ends of the rails, the entire middle section, both top and bottom are glued to the back of the rail. Glen was very generous in sharing his technique of double gluing rails at the Alsip seminar. I glued and...

    3M Spray Adhesive

Jim, Try the Ridge-back rails that Kerry makes. He has resolved the "thud" problem by using a third ridge down the middle of the rail. They also employ a stronger t nut so the rail is very secure and tight to the rail cap. Using 3-M 77 to attach the cloth to the "gaps" in the back of the rail...

    Tall table for bad backs

I've installed 3 inch blocks on a Peter Vitalie table bringing the playing surface to 34 inches +or-. The customer also was quite tall and suffered back pain. He claims it really helps him practice longer and is much more comfortable than a standard 30 inch table. If you go much above 34 inch...

Warranty questions, what would you do?

Rob, It's very hard to do good business with bad people. Unfortunately, we usually don't find this out until we are well into the job. I'll always try to go back and fix or repair any problem as long as I'm getting reasonable respect from the customer. If the goodwill is not retrievable even...
