I don't know about the silicon part of it but it lasts a couple of months, keeps the shafts clean and is easily cleaned with alcohol wipes, and it does make the shafts a little slicker, I know they use it to preserve paintings, clean fine jewelry , a small can will last a looong time.

I know how the money is accounted, my point is it is not in favor of the tax paying citizen, it is designed so the tax payer pays the most possible, even for low wage earners while the IRS claims to want to go after Millionaires and Billionaires.

Well, yes, technically, that is true BUT, it's not what you said, you said "taxed again", meaning - he was getting double taxed - which is NOT true. EDIT: Once again, he is only taxed ONCE - at the end of the year. Payments throughout the year are estimated payments.
