    What killed the slip stroke?

i've read this correction before but always forget it. i don't see any use for a slip stroke of this definition whatsoever

Fedor Gorst on the Joe Rogan podcast today

fedor wants 50k a side so it does seem like high rolling, but i too hope they meet an agreement. and play all the DCC games. i would watch a long 9b/10b but it not being 1p, banks too would be a shame

Fedor Gorst on the Joe Rogan podcast today

i think he is rather established already. interesting that he has a cameraman on payroll following him around, streaming his matches etc. must be a considerable cost, but probably worth it. funny thing is he's just doing what he was doing as a kid, when he and maksim rigged a camera and streamed...

Fedor Gorst on the Joe Rogan podcast today

that's a great idea. then get it to netflix or something i the meantime, consider how big a boost just having fedor on joe's podcast potentially is. joe has around 10x the viewers/listeners than FOX, and 30x what CNN has..

Fedor Gorst on the Joe Rogan podcast today

on a side note, boyes' youtube channel the other day had a vlog where he and phil yates discussed celebrity pool matches. iirc boyes, who has played with joe rogan recently, said he thought joe would probably beat andy goldstein, but that manny pacquiao would beat them all. don't know who the...

    (Un)Popular Opinion on Fargo Rate

noone wins a MR major by riding the 9 and getting rolls. tables are tough, fields are absolutely brutal. if you win one of those you've played very good pool. if you win three, like yapp's done, i would agree with wayne that you're currently on the top of the heap, at least in 9-ball

Take all of the weight out of your break cue

i'm just north of 18 oz with both break and playing cue. i think super heavy break cues were a gimmick thing that sounded like it made sense but really didn't

Yapp winning, with a foul! Just like Maradona making a goal with his hands :D

would have taken 2-3 minutes now you would think, with better technology. but it's not clear whether darryl was asking for the review or if it was the ref? either way i was always impressed with that win. darryl was a tough cookie. be interesting to see if the upcoming philippines open will be...

    Break Stats -- 2025 U.S. Open Pool Championship (9-Ball), August 2025

not much wrong with their tables. they had some issues in the beginning but it got sorted pretty quickly, and the new ones are basically gold crowns. the problem has been the slug racks. whether due to the refs or the predator triangle rack, it's sometimes been comical.

    Universal Cues - Aloysius Yapp

they made good LD cues and were kind of cousins of predator and lucasi before (same factory?). i didn't care much for the designs but a local player i know swore by it and placed 5th in the world 8b championship with one.

    (Un)Popular Opinion on Fargo Rate

only 2 is infinitely more important than 1. again i ask, what has fargo #2 ameer ali banked? he works part time selling cutlery. no shame in that, but yapp has won over $325000 and that's why he's ranked #2 in the world in the WNT rankings
