He was my best friend, and yeah, he died about 7 years ago. As for it being drug related, that's very possible. He died in his sleep.

Pretty disrespectful to "guess" one of the greatest players to ever pick up a cue has a coke problem because he doesn't like to be distracted by lint.

I've thought about this long and often, because I've been addicted to buying cues for years. The only real problem I've had with it is that I rarely play with the same cue for a length of time, and that's probably not the best thing for your game. I'm quite sure it's a real addiction, though...
