I'm saying that if you use something that significantly reduces throw you may find it changes over the course of an evening. For example, when I tested Novus 1 for throw it was initially around 1 inch. After 25 or so trials the throw went up to 4 or 5 inches. That was some years ago so the...

Just be aware that whatever you use as a trial will be stuck in your cleaner pads. I had been using Novus 1 and had to replace all my pads when I found out it was no good to use. It only takes a little bit to mess things up, IMO.

Please see post number 34. I was reacting to your comment about McGuires, not Brill. I was the one who did the throw test and I believe you're right about buckshot. He said McGuire's threw consistently which is at odds with your comment about the 1 hour break in period.

If they used a product designed for cleaning balls and not cars they would play normally right out of the ball machine.

Joint protectors. Two piece cues were just fine for 75 years or so but now you need something to protect the joint? Next thing you know they'll be making a joint protector protector. I know some will disagree.

Mosconi pretty much only had one break shot. A sharp angle that sent the cue ball straight into the pack. Hard to scratch.
