Chem-pak ball cleaner?

From what i understand unless your rocks are really dirty you don't need anything with a Diamond machine. Just toss em in and spin em a few minutes.

I would recommend some sort of compound unless you have residual compound in your carpet that you are trying to dissipate.

Does anyone know if this has silicone in it? Tried to find MSDS sheet. I cleaned my diamond polisher out and based on feedback from a few on the forum I will now try a dedicated ball cleaner vs megs cleaner wax I have been using to see what the ball behavior difference is (if any). I am torn between this stuff or the Tiger product. From the reviews it appears the chem-pak is better at cleaning and providing good shine. Anyway any feedback would be appreciated. I am down to try to any dedicated product other than aramith cleaner/polish based on Glen stating issues with it sticking in the carpet.

Cheers
Brent

I used aramith ball cleaner and Meguiars Cleaner wax for about a month each.

I much prefer Meguiars Cleaner Wax.

I use a single tray diamond ball machine.

Having said that, I still cannot make a ball.

<resurrecting a thread here>

So, does Meguiars Cleaner Wax have silicone in it?

For the CleanGleem machines we've always recommended one table spoon Aramith shaken up with one cup alchohol in a spray bottle. Just a light misting over the balls in a running machine is all you need. Fast, easy and economical.
Mixed up it's a watery milk consistency that works great with a CleanGleem, I can't imagine it possibly gumming up other machines. Aramith may contain some wax and/or silicon, don't know for sure but it's made for Aramith balls and it's been used forever without complaints I'm aware of other than people using way too much of it straight out of the bottle.

I'm going to get some of this from my local TAP Plastics store tomorrow and give it a try after reading more up on this:

Under $18 for a 32oz spray bottle and highly recommended seems like the way to go...

I still stand by glens advice on the meg's red can. He designed the diamond ball polisher Yes it has silicone the balls just play long for a few rounds like your on new cloth after a few rounds I dont notice a difference in play. No build up I can see or feel on cloth or in the return gully and pockets.

What's great with this stuff is it works really well and the excess build up on the carpet comes out with isopropyl alcohol or the strip spray I use on cars. The other stuff appears to be more tacky and harder to get off the carpet liners. I'll stick to the red can but I know it's controversial.

Wax on balls is brutal. A few rounds? The room down the street uses the Meguiar's in their Diamond polisher and it takes about an hour for the balls to play normal. Right out of the polisher they are very slick causing them to slide off the rails, roll longer and dramatically reduced throw. A waxed cue ball is fun though. If you are using the isopropyl alcohol to clean the pads, why not use it to mix your own solution to clean the balls? They won't be slick and you'll never have to clean the pads again.

I use two 1000 GSM towels for the wipe down before they hit the cloth. This cuts down on the wax effect imo. Just a micro thin layer left. If I ever have to replace the carpet I might mix something up but it really just doesn't bother me.

If they used a product designed for cleaning balls and not cars they would play normally right out of the ball machine.

Preaching to the choir!
I'm surprised to hear that. Maybe I have the wrong person. There was a guy who did a throw test like the one I did on Novus 1 vs Aramith and said the Meguir's performed the same. That wasn't you?

So maybe it does not perform the same as Aramith after all.
Maybe what doesn't perform the same as Aramith? I do recall a member doing a test and the throw was different using different products. I think it was buckshotshoey that did the test but I could be wrong.

Also, I wouldn't necessarily call Brillianzine an automotive product. It's a plastic cleaner with many applications.
