    I figured asking here would yield quicker results. I imagine for reasons of liability, no manufacturer is going to recommend using an abrasive on an asbestos-based product.

    I feel like I should mention the joint configuration on these: Nice tight compression fit with the fat nylon insert. It makes for a very responsive hit and feel. I can’t think of anything quite like it. Quality engineering and construction. Here’s mine with a steel joint.
