    Mercury ultra tournament cloth

The more often you cover your tables, the faster the slate backing and staple areas on the rails will wear out. Also, covering your tables more often doesn't necessarily = taking better care of them. Putting better playing longer lasting cloth on them and keeping the wear and tear down is...

    That's a true story.

    Mercury ultra tournament cloth

Mercury Ultra is definitely different from 860. 860 is heavier, faster and more durable. My opinion is if you want something that plays like 860...get ya some 860.

    Funny pic/gif thread...

I edited out his details, but I pointed out to this friend of mine today how Facebook cover pictures display differently on different devices.

US Billiards Inc rail cushion size?

No buyer's remorse here, right? Honestly though, that's always an awkward situation when moving a table for someone who just bought it. Most want to ask that question whether it's "Did I get a good deal?" or "Is this a good table?" You want to be honest, yet tactful because you know...

table legs destroyed by water Question

Most of the Olhausen legs mount the same way. That much water, you may just be better off replacing them and should be able to do so with other styles no problem. They even have a pretty cool table designer on their site where you can see what the legs would look like before you buy.

Replacing facings became an even bigger job, turned book *update*

Avid is a stretch. I'm a league banger. ;) Players is under new ownership, and he's definitely putting a lot into the place. You should come up. I'll try to let you know when I get out there to do some work.

Replacing facings became an even bigger job, turned book *update*

Sounds good! I'm looking forward to it. Once I get back from the VNEA tournament in Vegas this week, I'll be starting work in Players Family Billiards in Whitehall, so I'll be somewhat in the area. I'll get in touch with you and we'll have to meet up.

Replacing facings became an even bigger job, turned book *update*

I agree with the other guys here. I don't think you did a bad job at all for your first time. You did better than many of the guys in the phone book. :D I might take you up on the "cold ones" offer some time though. You live anywhere near the Tilted Kilt up there? I've recently discovered...

    quick facing question turned book

Yeah that's pretty typical of a lot of guys' rail work. Good luck with the project...I have some Artemis K66 in stock if it gets too out of hand...just saying. :)

    quick facing question turned book

LOL Love it. Yeah, just pull 'em and clean up whatever glue residue is left over. Get a clean surface to work with and glue the new ones on. I've got quite a bit of work coming up in the Columbus area, so if you need any help, give me another call. It was a pleasure talking to you before...

    Mechanics... Diomond Tables

Glen, I'm not real worried about it. I'm going to continue to do what I do and be proud of it. Well said though on your take on what it means to be a mechanic. And Hungarian...very well said...I couldn't agree more.

    Mechanics... Diomond Tables

Why is it Glen's "students" get a bad rap? You've made plenty of comments like this that make it obvious you look down on us. The way I see it, I take enough pride in my trade and the job I do to seek out a better way to do it and not assume I already know everything like so many of the old...

    Mechanics... Diomond Tables

I always did love when someone asks a question, then argues with the answer. Even my 4 and 9yr old kids know that most of the time, that's not appropriate. I also love the "No, I'm not wrong, every one else is wrong" mentality. So what I'm gathering from this is that you worked on the table...
