I don’t think anyone seriously puts and aterisk next to his win. Obviously something went wrong with the handling of the match, but it was such a close match, no one can say what would have happened had the issue not happened.

I think you can take the top 5-10 players in the world and argue over who’s the best all day long. It’s so close at that level a different one will be playing good for a stretch and beat the others.

That’s pretty good considering a lot of those matches players were probably rated close enough, they weren’t huge favorites to win. The only thing that would look bad is if players with much lower ratings were consistently beating the higher rated players.

As in what? A list of how each match matched up Fargo wise and how close the ratings predicted the outcomes? That would be very interesting to see. Since Fargo basically equates so many points to a game on the wire(I think anyway). I’d like to see how well it predicted match ups. Obviously...

Say what you want, but the final 4 all had Fargo rates at 791 and up. All within the top 25, which is only about 30-40 points. Obviously it’s not perfect, but it’s not too far off either.

Just have the ref clean the cue after each rack or every so many racks. They’d have to get highly unlucky for enough chalk to hit the contact point and cling in that short amount of time.

I personally like the way they used the shot clock. It keeps things moving without rushing players who shoot slower. Also, if someone attempted to abuse it that way, I’m sure the TD can warn and/or call a foul at their discretion.

My napkin math has him 90-42 over the course of 8 matches. 68% win rate.
