Phoenix is pool heaven if you're under 600 fargo. You can play in tournaments every day of the week and plenty of action. Just don't play too well!

I was reminded of this thread over the weekend. I'm playing pool with a buddy at the new local pool room. A local "kid" who is sponsored by the pool room was there practicing alone a couple tables over. He's probably 21/22 years old and rated around 625 but I think plays better than that...

They only need the arena to host one of their big tournaments. The weekly leagues they're promoting do not require it.

I know plenty of them. However, in my neck of the woods, playing league pool is one of the only ways to get to play. 95% of our tournaments out here are capped somewhere below 650. I happen to LOVE league pool!

Yup. The players definitely work the clock when it's tight and there is less than two minutes left. The guy with the lead will take every second off the clock even if he has a relatively easy run out.
