I understand. But that was my impression based on my reading this and having owned dozens of Szamboti's and knowing Barry fairly well. I don't think Gus or Barry would approve of this "airing of dirty laundry" and maybe (just maybe) the OP shouldn't have a Szamboti anyway if this is how he is...

I haven't seen any proof that the cue wasn't refinished by Barry at some point during its lifetime. I did only read the first 8 pages of this thread so I guess maybe I missed something. What I did read sounded like whining mixed with an extra helping of seller's remorse. Again just my humble...

Yes, after the stream came back up with the secondary camera, I did hear a lot of joking and singing. Actually, I don't think there was any "match commentary" after the crash. However, the beginning of the match was hosted well. The twilight "fill-in" commentators did a decent job entertaining...

I heard from someone that was there that after the match Archer was seen emptying a ball from his pockets consisting of many tiny pieces of green cloth like material.
