I am looking to order my first custom cue. Would be nice if anyone could suggest someone to me, or the people i should stay away from. Experience does not bother me as long as they do good work, honest and have good street cred.

What is your price range? Like the other poster said do you have a specific design in mind? Is lead time an issue or can it take a year+ and not matter? I would use the search button here before you just jump to have a cue made. There have been some bad deals with cuemakers on here within the last year and would avoid these people to make your first experience a positive and not a negative one.

Call up my friend Dave at B and D Custom Cues and I'm quite sure you'll get the best hitting wood for your dough.

Looking to spend a couple bands. I like natural colors, something with a Hennessy and Miley Cyrus look to it.

Keith Josey of Josey Custom Cues. Does a great job and has a wide range of prices based on what you want. Keith is great to work with.

Couldn't agree more. Love my Josey! Stiff hit with a great feel...once I got my hands on it, I have no desire to switch.

I concur. I ordered one of his fancy SPs last year, and I have a custom order with him now. Definitely can't go wrong with him.

I recently ordered a basic custom cue from Keith and Sherri Josey a few weeks ago, I'm expecting to receive it shortly and they have done an excellent job with the ordering process. I used to shoot with one a long time back and loved the feel. Since I'm getting back into pool now, there was only one place I was going to look at, www.joseycues.com

josey cues

I agree I am playing with my second Josey, a 2011, and ordered a sneak pete from him that I should get in December. Love the cue. There is one he has built and ready for sale on his website that looks pretty awesome. Here is a picture of it.

Try Pete Tascarella or Dennis Searing. They do decent work.
