Not a problem..i did it all the time..when ever i buy a custom shaft i always get it with no pilot just so i can use it on other cues..only way to go

Yea..i tell you the truth..i love this Al Link cue...i have read on here about Bill McDaniels and how under rated he is..which is true..but Al is REALLY super under rated...his cues play exstremly well...

giving these are black collar and ringed..there is no way of truely knowing that they are in fact Meucci..most as you know had decorative rings.. but if they are old growth shafts and over 12.8mm then the minimum i feel they would be worth..$70-90 each..you can have the decrative ringed ones...
