This cue belongs to a friend of mine. He has had the cue since about 1986. Ernie Gutierrez (ginacue) rewrapped and refinished the cue sometime along the way. My friend is unsure who the original maker was but thinks it was most likely a Southern California cuemaker of that era. Can anyone...

I won't comment on the "politics", since it has no place in pool IMHO. I do have a comment on 2 things: 1. My understanding of "sharking" requires your opponent to be at the table, the table was Alex's and he was just being his usual charismatic, enthusiastic self, something pool needs MORE...

you may also, from time to time, see....snap, snap, snap...a reference to the snapping of fingers, yet another version of the "quiet" appreciation in pool or billiards. Joe

The "bump", as explained is a "reply" in the thread, which moves it to the top of the forum, allowing it more "exposure". The "tap, tap, tap" is a reference to the "polite" way to recognize a good shot by tapping the butt of your cue on the floor as opposed to clapping or saying good shot. Joe

I just got an email from AZ's member 1pocket, letting me know that he just completed his coverage at www.onepocket.org of the Hollywood Jack 1-pocket tournament at Hollywood Billiards. The coverage is good and since he flattered me by using a few of my pictures, I thought I would post the link...
