    Tournament Draw Question

This is my philosophy also. We live in an active retirement community with 81 holes of golf, so we cater to the golfers if they want to play pool. It turned out that by the time we drew his name the 2 first round games were filled so he got a bye. Thanks to all who responded and it looks...

    Tournament Draw Question

I put in the byes then the players draw a poker chip with a number on it. Numbered from 1 thru 18. Then they are put on the bracket based on that number. If a player would draw #5 he would go into the fifth open spot from the top down.

    Tournament Draw Question

I'm not drawing the byes, they are placed in the bracket before the players draw. I am drawing for the players' placement in the bracket.

    Tournament Draw Question

Here's the situation: I am running a tournament with 18 participants today. I am using a 32 man bracket. So there are 14 byes in the 1st round, which means I will have only 2 matches in the 1st round. I have one player who is going to be a little late so I will have to draw for him. What...

    Funny video

Pretty Cool I have seen this happen once while playing in the early 80's. I think it was on a Valley or Cougar bar box. Everyone was a little shocked. We put the ball back in the table from what I recall.

    Space between tables

Thanks Jude, just wanting to confirm I had enough room. The 7 ft in between the tables might be excessive. I could save a couple of feet. Thanks again.

    Space between tables

What is a comfortable space between pool tables and the surrounding walls? I have allowed 7 ft between tables and 5 1/2 ft to the surrounding walls. Is this too much, not enough? Any help is appreciated.

    What table is this?

I had a Bristol and yes it looks just like that, except mine was a darker finish. Had it for 40 years, sold it when I retired.

    Pool Players of the Brooke

Hello fellow AZBrs. We have created a billiard club in a retirement community outside of Tuscon AZ. We have also created a logo and are looking to get some shirts made. Does anyone have info on who could create the shirts at a reasonable price. What I'm finding is $45 and up. Here is our logo.

    New Schmelke

I love Schmelke's cues. I have 2 of them from 1975 that I had refinished by Schmelke and a 3rd one I bought about 5 years ago which is now my daily player. The price is right on these cues.

    One Pocket

Thanks! A BIG THANKS to all the helpful advice on One Pocket! I've been playing pool for 54 years and this game has me excited to play every chance I get. Trying to find that balance between offense and defense is billiards heaven or it can be billiards hell depending on how you want to look...

    One Pocket

Hey John, Thanks for the info. I'm just getting started with this game and there is a lot to learn. It's a whole different mindset. Making balls is almost an after thought from the defensive moves, especially if you are not breaking. Hope you and yours are well.

I had that happen to me about 2 months ago, on the end rail. Hard to believe unless it happens to yourself.
