I sent a message to Jetercues about the sets he posted, but looks like he hasn't been online in a month. I need a set of 3/8-10 .850 carbide sanding mandrels for sure, and possibly a set of .842 uni-loc. Does anyone have a set they are looking to sell, or a suggestion on who to get a set through?

I bought a set of the tungstens about a month ago. I play on average around an hour a day. They stay very clean, and I've had zero issues. For $80, they are a great buy. I thought the colors would be distracting, but after a couple hours of play it was a non issue.

This is basically how I did them by hand before getting a lathe. Yes you'll need to be a few tools, but it works. My only recommendation is don't install layered tips this way, stick to single layer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhU0lYPEGKc&t=58s

I've done some wet sanding, starting at 1000 and up. It works and cleaned up the look nicely.

I have a JB 4x8 butterfly. I load butts and shafts joint down. I use joint protectors on everything. To fully load the case, I put the shafts in 1st, then load the butts in. It's fairly tight, but everything fits fine. If you have other stuff in the inside of your case besides the cue...

I agree that's what they are trying to do, but the amount of maple they are removing for this other wood, I don't believe it's enough to make a noticeable difference.

That's from McDermott Joey, I've seen the same thing on their shafts. Not sure what they are trying to accomplish with that setup.
