    LTB carbide sanding mandrels

I sent a message to Jetercues about the sets he posted, but looks like he hasn't been online in a month. I need a set of 3/8-10 .850 carbide sanding mandrels for sure, and possibly a set of .842 uni-loc. Does anyone have a set they are looking to sell, or a suggestion on who to get a set through?

Does anyone bash their tip with a ball after installing it?

I tell all my customers to go put a few hours of play on a new tip, then stop back and I'll trim and reshape for them. I think most tips need to "settle in" and then play their best. I taper new tip installs just a hair so they have more room to mushroom, but even then almost all require a...

Diveny Cues Inagural Barbox Classic -

Scott's from MN. Great guy, great player. The video above is not the norm for him. There is a podcast out there where he talks about that tournament and addresses what was going on. He's not a slow player, and at a 733 Fargo, he plays great.

We're cyclop balls replaced by dynasphere? Any reviews on dynasphere?

I bought a set of the tungstens about a month ago. I play on average around an hour a day. They stay very clean, and I've had zero issues. For $80, they are a great buy. I thought the colors would be distracting, but after a couple hours of play it was a non issue.

What kind of metal file is best? (for retipping a cue)

This is basically how I did them by hand before getting a lathe. Yes you'll need to be a few tools, but it works. My only recommendation is don't install layered tips this way, stick to single layer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhU0lYPEGKc&t=58s

    4x8 butterfly pool case

I have a JB 4x8 butterfly. I load butts and shafts joint down. I use joint protectors on everything. To fully load the case, I put the shafts in 1st, then load the butts in. It's fairly tight, but everything fits fine. If you have other stuff in the inside of your case besides the cue...

    One for the WTF file

I agree that's what they are trying to do, but the amount of maple they are removing for this other wood, I don't believe it's enough to make a noticeable difference.

    One for the WTF file

That's from McDermott Joey, I've seen the same thing on their shafts. Not sure what they are trying to accomplish with that setup.

Replace a Schmelke Joint With 3/8-10?

What Mike said. I'd also add, for the cost you are going to put into the cue changing the joint, you are well on your way to the cost of a new cue from Schmelke. And they have 3/8-10 as a joint option now. So if you're not hung up on this cue for sentimental reasons, call Schmelke and get a...

    Best glue for non-leather tips

I used the gel before, and it worked fine. Reading up on super glue, to make the gel they are adding additives to make that consistency. I like the thought of less additives. Also, the shelf life on the professional seems (in my opinion, no data to back this up) to be longer. The...
