    Knock off or real Xbreaker?

There were some that were produced with the piloted 5/16-14, this one has the flat faced 5/16-18. It should come with a g-10 tip on it. There was a very heated discussion about these un-labeled x-breakers on here awhile back. Basically, the company that was making the first generation...

    League ...... perfect night anyone?

My best in a 3 game format is 30-2, twice. Both times the 2 points came on my opponets break. In a 5 game format I've had 50 to single digits multiple times. Even on those nights everything has to be going right. Your opponet is breaking at least 2, if not 3 times.

How do you stop blueing on shafts

If you don't want the shafts getting dirty don't use them. J/K Otherwise you will get some blueing on them, that's just the way things go. Make sure they are sealed good, that will make things better, but still won't prevent it.

    new tip reviews

Dick, On the ones I've installed and had "delaminate", it always seems to be after a fair amount of play before it happens. I normally would think that the customer was doing something to tear it apart, but it happened on my personal player also. That's when I made the switch away from them...

    elk master vs. Talisman?

Just compress an elk master in a C clamp for a day or two. Install and trim, then it will play like it's broke in. It will hold shape better and not mushroom as much. The will wear out faster and mushroom a little every once in a while, but at $.50 a piece you can afford to replace them more...

    price for tournament repair biz

I don't know why he does things the way he does. I stood and talked with him last year at a tournament, he had about 10 shafts in line and it literally took him 30 minutes to install an elk master. The other guy was going at the same pace, so they were doing two tips per hour. I couldn't...

Thanks guys. I'm just trying to figure out a number to have in mind when we start talking numbers. As Ryan brought up, there is another option that could be coming up, but that would be a few years from now. So I'm trying to get a number and then figure out which one I should go after, or...

No, not C&N. Although Bob is kind of in the same situation. I have talked to him about something similar as well. but he's a few years away from calling it quits from what he's told me. I'm more interested in Bob's situation, but thats down the road. I'd like to look at doing something...

    price for tournament repair biz

They know what I can do, they've seen it. I'm taking business away from them right now. I'd just like to get the tournaments as that is a quicker way to pay for my machines. I keep myself as busy as I want to be now, but a weekend full of tournament work would help pay for my machines much...

    price for tournament repair biz

I'm looking at what I should spend. I could care less about the name, I just want the in with the vendor to work their tournaments. He doesn't use the lathes to install or trim the tips, that's what he uses the Willards for. I know, it's not the normal way. I could care less about the...
