    MIsc items for sale

I bought out a guy locally of some tips and other items, and have some stuff that's been laying around collecting dust. So, here's what I'm looking to get rid of. 5 stainless steel, 1 brass, and one tap for import type radial pins from Schmelke. Sold 11 13mm Elk Masters 20 13mm Le Pro's 22...

You'd probably get a better response posing this question on the billiardcoach forum, since that's mostly MN players on there.

Micarta ferrule on a 314-2? Possible without losing the LD characteristics?

I don't believe that the warranty only applies to the original owner, but I'm not positive. You can look at Predator's website to find the details. My suggestion would be to contact one of the fine cuemakers on this site and ask them to build you a low deflection shaft. Or try out a OB...

Micarta ferrule on a 314-2? Possible without losing the LD characteristics?

I've done it (on a non warranty shaft) with MasonH's yellow micarta. Deflection was maybe a touch higher, but the hit was improved IMO. I wouldn't suggest doing it to a perfectly good shaft unless you're willing to except that you will no longer have a predator warranty and you may not like...

enhancing the wood grain on the butt of a cue

I would love to give credit to the original poster of this post below, but I don't have who posted this originally. "Potassium Permanganate (KMnO4) dissolved in water will "antique" maple beautifully. It is an oxidant that does to the maple sugars what cutting an apple does to the sugars in the...

    Custom made cue extensions?

The ones I currently make go in between the butt and shaft, like in Chuck's 2nd picture. If it's a uni-loc pin, then these are great. On other pins it takes a bit to get them together, but most players still prefer it over using a bridge. Personally, I just put the extension on my backup...

http://www.cuesmith.com/ Get them from the man himself. The time and money in materials you'll save by reading/watching them is worth way more than the price he charges.

my new black SOFT kamui tip

Give it some time, it will take a bit to get used to. If it's still too firm, go with a super soft. They are the best tips on the market IMHO.

    A joint revisited

Eric, I don't know if you're asking me, but I'll give you my answer. If I have rings at the A joint, then I sleeve them over the tenon which I run either way depending on balance. If it doesn't have rings at the A joint, I still run my tenon either way depending on balance, but I sleeve...

    building a jump break

I'm guessing I saw the blanks your talking about. If they are the same ones, the J/B joint is 12" from the bottom of the cue. That's going to be a pretty long jump section.
