What is the min and max dimension that you have seen on the butt diameter at the bumper???

I uncovered a blemish in the butt sleeve and had to turn it down to 1.200 to get it to clean up. I usually finish at 1.250 to 1.265. I was able to keep the joint at .840 by offsetting the tail stock about .012in. The butt will come back to about 1.210 after the finish is on. I just was wondering if it will be very noticeable.

thanks

Kim

On a 57" or longer cue the smallest diameter at the large end of the butt I have seen is right at one inch and the largest I have seen was over 1.4 inches.

It will be noticable, but you might even like it better. Thinner is getting more popular in recent years. The standard at one time was about 1.300". Then 1.270" and now it is 1.250" to 1.240". My son prefers around 1.175" to 1.200"

I might try a smaller butt dia for myself just to see how it feels. I am liking lighter cues as time goes on. I like 18 to 18.5 oz.

I can notice the difference between my cue 1.20 and a cue that was 1.25, I could tell there was a difference thats why I measured it. however thats 5 times more than .01 so I dont think I mattters.
