Issues with pause in back stroke

Try taking the cue back slowly, this will aid in a smooth forward stroke. The pause will come naturally and you won't have to think about it.

    BCA National - Dress Code

Can you post a picture of the "ear shorts" ? I am trying to imagine what they look like. :) Just giving you a hard time. As far as dress code, it does no good if it isn't enforced for each and every player and it would have to be widely advertised so that people couldn't say they didn't...

Can't do a draw shot to save my life

Harvey, I grabed a still shot of the moment just before you make contact on the 10 ball (31 seconds into the video). Here you can see that you are hitting just below centerball. This is a good spot to hit if you want to hit a stop shot but for draw you will need to contact the cue ball lower...

    The hook!!!!

Chris, I don't want to be staked but next time I'm in town you can sure buy me a steak :) Was hoping to head your way this week but plans changed at the last minute. Happy Independence Day. One of the favorite lines I've heard from someone looking for a stake is: "That guy over there just...

    JB stoops to new lows

You're avoiding my question. Regarding supporting American workers who work for foreign based companies ( though public companies traded on various stock exchanges and thus owned by many people from all over the world) I have been fortunate to have a Whitten Case, a Justis Case and a JB Case...

    JB stoops to new lows

If you buy a Toyota or BMW some of theory went to the hard working Americans. In my book supporting American jobs is a good thing, regardless of where the company is headquartered.

    JB stoops to new lows

So, should we stop buying Chevy and Ford? and buy Toyota cause you know Toyota actually assembles some cars here in the states. It's a global economy and BMW's and Mercedes have models assembled here in the states but which is more American a Chevy truck made in Mexico or a Mercedes built in...

    Practice vs. Play

Wendy, be true to yourself. Straight Pool (14.1) is a great game to practice/play by yourself. Sometimes the drama associated with leagues just isn't worth it. You should choose when you want to compete against others. Playing with others due to league obligations and playing with others for...

    Stiff cue Like Pat Diveney.

A good cuemaker should be able to build a cue with the stiff hit you prefer. My cue made by Mike Bender has what I feel is a stiff hit but we discussed what I wanted before he built it.

Make it Happen 14.1 Alternate!!!! Schmidt is a scratch

OF the 4 choices I like Toastie the best. IF I get to pick I'd like to see Varner or Sigel play.

    If Bonus Ball fails...

Bonus Ball's success at this time seems to only effect a handful of professional players. If Bonus Ball were to stop tomorrow, hundreds of thousands of league players would still play pool and millions would still play an occasional game of pool in bars and pool halls and rec centers and homes...
