Pool isn’t anywhere close to that level - organization or participation wise. To compare it to pro golf is ridiculous and short sighted. Limited field events are simply dumb. Fill the house and figure out how to run an event with a lot of players.

It also works for the international players coming here. The Taiwanese players won’t come back to the Vega$ events cause of what happened to Big Ko in the tourney a few years back (goes back to my earlier comment of standing by the rules of an event). I’m gonna think it stopped other countries...

That is not how NCAA basketball works.

Yes the format rules stated Top 16 seeded based on FargoRate. So #1 could have played #17 in the second round. But the way Jay described it is the way it should have been done. And the format didn’t say reseeded each round (that would be a completely different description as well).

Seeding 100% means you put the top 16 players in spots 1 through 16 on the bracket as seeds (just like the NCAA tourney) and then you fill in the rest with entrees. With 45 players all top 16 players should have gotten a bye. Sullivan Clark doesn’t get a bye and Chip Compton gets stuck...

Nope - once big Ko got the short end of the stick at the event a few years ago, they aren’t coming back.
